Social Media Content Organization

A lightweight system for keeping content, captions and tags together.

Organise by pillar first

Group everything — assets, captions, tag sets — by content pillar rather than by date. Dates tell you when something happened; pillars tell you what it was about, which is what you need when you are looking for something to reuse.

Keep tags next to the content

A tag set stored separately from the content it belongs to gets used on the wrong post eventually. Store the set with the pillar, and copy from there each time rather than from a general note.

Review quarterly

Every few months, look at what you actually published and compare it with your pillars. If most posts fall outside them, the pillars are wrong and the tags built on them are drifting too. Adjust the structure rather than adding another note.
