Seasonal Hashtag Planning

Planning calendar-driven tags far enough ahead that you are not improvising.

Work backwards from the date

Seasonal interest builds before the date and collapses immediately after it. Content published on the day itself is competing at peak volume; content published two or three weeks earlier reaches people while they are still planning.

Set your tag sets when you plan the content, not when you publish it.

Keep the evergreen core

A seasonal set should be your normal set plus a seasonal layer, not a replacement. Dropping your usual tags means the post loses the audience that follows your subject year-round.

Reuse the structure annually

Save each seasonal set as its own collection with the year in the name. Next year, duplicate it, change the year suffix and adjust the specifics. Most of the work is already done, and consistency across years makes your own reporting comparable.
